Celebrating its fourth annual fall tournament in September 2026, the Acton Open is a community fundraising event benefiting the Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary.  In 2026, 32 teams of 4-6 players competed for bragging rights and great prizes including embroidered L.L. Bean windbreakers, Grammy Rose cooler backpacks, and more!  Players’ registration fees included their official 2026 Acton Open t-shirt, lunch and ice cream.

20 local companies and businesses graciously sponsored holes and our putting green, showing their support for the rescue and the community in two different sponsorship tiers.  All sponsors were featured on personalized signs at each hole and a massive banner that hung on the side of the Wicky Ralph’s building for the remainder of the 2026 season, and the higher tier sponsors had their logos featured on the back of the player t-shirts.

2026 also saw the introduction of a large winner plaque that will feature the best team score and best individual score for the event – it will hang at Wicky Ralph’s for all to see, and we’ll be adding new winners to it over time.

The event, a true local favorite, is one of the largest fundraising events for the rescue each year.
